The incubator offers 4,500 square feet of office and wet lab space at its state-of-the-art, LEED-certified facility located near the UConn Health Center. Following a $52 million renovation, this new incubator space was opened in fall 2010, and is co-located with UConn’s Stem Cell Institute.

Size: the size of each lab varies and ranges from 200-1,000 square feet.

Equipment: all wet labs are equipped with a chemical fume hood and sinks.

Utilities: hot and cold water, gas, DI water, vacuum and compressed air. Multiple power outlets including 110 and 220V. Phone and IT jacks provided.

Room features: Benches, shelves, cabinets and windows in the lab space. Office space is located across the hall from the labs.

Rate: Labs may be leased at a rate of $25 per square foot annually, with a $2 increase per square foot per year. Heat and electrical is included in the price.

Other amenities:

  • Support for environmental health and safety services including waste removal
  • Online and physical access to the UConn libraries
  • Access to other equipment in faculty labs can be arranged
  • Use of core resesearch facilities and other service centers available for reasonable fees through the Center for Open Research Resources & Equipment (COR2E)
  • Business support
