A night aimed at connecting medical practitioners, post-docs, staff and entrepreneurial students from engineering, business, and other graduate programs to find innovative solutions to problems in the healthcare arena.
Healthcare Practitioners: Physicians, nurses, therapists, and other service providers can share problems or unmet needs for which they seek solutions. Submit your problem at registration. Consider making a 5-minute "pitch" of your unmet need or problem and engage in some idea conversations with researchers, post-docs, and students who can potentially identify solutions and will work with you on getting them solved.
Researchers, post-docs, students, and engineers with an interest in solving healthcare-related problems are strongly encouraged to attend and to join in to identify potential solutions to the problems presented.
Following brief problem "pitches" by practitioners, participants will be encouraged to form groups to develop new ideas for transforming medicine. Teams formed around projects will be preferred applicants for Accelerate UConn, a program that can validate concepts and provide small grants to support concept development.
Food & drinks will be provided.
Roundtrip transportation will be provided via UConn Shuttle between Storrs and Hartford to Farmington and back.
This event is open to the UConn community only please.
